D Pharma course (Diploma in Pharmacy) is a two-year undergraduate diploma program in the field of Pharmacy. It is a comprehensive program that teaches students the fundamental principles of pharmaceutical sciences, drug action and interactions, and drug manufacturing and development.
The D Pharma course covers various topics such as pharmacology, pharmaceutics, pharmacognosy, pharmaceutical chemistry, and hospital and clinical pharmacy. Students also receive training in drug formulation, dosage forms, drug storage, and drug dispensing.The course curriculum also includes practical training and internships to provide students with hands-on experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Students learn how to analyse and interpret prescription orders, dispense medication, and manage pharmacy operations.
After completing the D Pharma course, students can find employment opportunities in the pharmaceutical industry, hospitals, government agencies, research organisations, and retail pharmacies. They can work as pharmacy technicians, drug inspectors, pharmacists, and pharmaceutical sales representatives.
To pursue the D Pharma course, students must have completed their 10+2 education with Science stream (Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Mathematics) from a recognized board or university. Additionally, some institutes may require students to clear an entrance examination to get admission into the course.
D Pharma course (Diploma in Pharmacy)
D.pharma course is a career oriented program in pharmacy designed to familiarize candidate with basic concepts of pharmaceutical science. D.pharma means 2 year diploma in pharmacy. After completing D.pharma course one can be employed as registered pharmacist in hospitals dispensing drugs and pharmaceuticals. It is mandatory that at least one person employed in pharmacy must be qualified registered pharmacist.
